This Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) has been prepared by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) to address the potential environmental effects of a proposed 305-acre fee-to-trust land acquisition in unincorporated Madera County, California for the North Fork Rancheria of Mono Indians (Tribe).

The proposed action includes the trust acquisition for gaming purposes and the approval by the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) of a gaming management contract between SC Madera Management LLC and the Tribe.
